This is the first time I and my fellow beauty pageant follower Erica Diaz Mendoza-Lao are doing Miss Supranational predictions and we decided to do it together. I have a better accuracy when it comes to predicting who are getting into the Top 10 while Erica has better accuracy in predicting the Top 3. However, neither I nor she has predicted the titleholder in any of the major international beauty pageants in the past few years. What we brag about though is that the winner is always in our Top 5 (mostly in our Top 3) lists.

First, I will reveal our individual Top 5 predictions. Let me clarify though that our predictions are not necessarily our favorites. Our predictions are those who we think will win; our favorites are the ones we want to win. Usually, these are different. (I will not reveal to you who is which. Hehe.)

For me, these five will be the Miss Supranational 2018 winners:

• 4th Runner-up: Jehza Mae Huelar (Philippines)
• 3rd Runner-up: Alyssa Boston (Canada)
• 2nd Runner-up: Wilda Octaviana Situngkir (Indonesia)
• 1st Runner-up: Snizhana Tanchuk (Ukraine)
• Miss Supranational 2019: Nariman Cristina Battikha Yanyi (Venezuela)

For Erica, these will be the Top 5 winners of Miss Supranational 2018:

• 4th Runner-up: Pinnarat Mawinthon (Thailand)
• 3rd Runner-up: Katrina Jayne Dimaranan (USA)
• 2nd Runner-up: Nariman Cristina Battikha Yanyi (Venezuela)
• 1st Runner-up: Jehza Mae Huelar (Philippines)
• Miss Supranational 2019: Tina Uwase (Rwanda)

To come up with our lists, we separately scored all of the 74 candidates first based on their photos, from which we selected Top 30. We checked the videos of the remaining candidates and selected Top 10. We then read articles about our respective Top 10 candidates before we finalized our Top 5 lists. We did not check other prediction lists to avoid being influenced by them.

I and Erica combined our scores and here are our final Miss Supranational 2018 predictions:

• 4th Runner-up: Wilda Octaviana Situngkir (Indonesia)
• 3rd Runner-up: Snizhana Tanchuk (Ukraine)
• 2nd Runner-up: Tina Uwase (Rwanda)
• 1st Runner-up: Jehza Mae Huelar (Philippines)
• Miss Supranational 2019: Nariman Cristina Battikha Yanyi (Venezuela)
