The most recent song of the South Korean-Chinese boy band EXO titled “Love Shot” was released on December 13, 2018. On the same day, SM Entertainment published the music video of the song on YouTube.
“Love Shot” is from the repackaged fifth studio album of EXO of the same name. SM Entertainment released the original version titled “Don’t Mess Up My Tempo” on November 2, 2018.
“Don’t Mess Up My Tempo” has 11 songs including “Gravity,” “Ooh La La La,” “Smile on My Face” and the two versions of “Tempo.” The album is nominated for Disc Bonsang at the 2019 Golden Disc Awards.
The repackaged version of the album has four new songs added including “Love Shot.” The other three are “Trauma,” “Wait” and the Chinese version of “Love Shot.”
Kim Jong Dae (김종대) and Park Chan Yeol (박찬열), whose respective stage names are Chen (첸) and Chanyeol (찬열), co-wrote “Love Shot.” It was also Chanyeol who wrote “Trauma.”
Including Chen and Chanyeol, EXO currently has nine members. The others are Kim Jun Myeon (김준면), Kim Min Seok (김민석), Zhang Yixing (张艺兴), Byun Baek Hyun (변백현), Do Kyung Soo (도경수), Kim Jong In (김종인) and Oh Se Hun (오세훈), whose respective stage names are Suho (수호), Xiumin (시우민), Lay (레이), Baekhyun (백현), D.O. (디오), Kai (카이) and Sehun (세훈).
SM Entertainment formed EXO in 2011 originally with 11 members. Since its debut in 2012, the group has released six studio albums, six extended plays, two live albums and 25 singles.
EXO holds the Guinness World Record of Most Daesang awards at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. From 2012 to 2017, the group collected 15 awards from the MAMA.
At the 2018 Seoul Music Awards, EXO received three awards namely Bonsang Award, Hallyu Special Award and Fandom School Award. The group was nominated for Choice International Artist at the Teen Choice Awards in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
