Porterville’s Javy Ayala earns 6th Bellator MMA win

Fighting out of Porterville, California, United States, Javy “Eye Candy” Ayala, 30, has earned his sixth victory in Bellator MMA. He was one of the winners at “Bellator 212.”

Featuring 10 mixed martial arts, “Bellator 212” took place at the Neal S. Blaisdelle Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States on December 14, 2018. In the eighth bout of the evening, Ayala faced Frank Mir, 39, of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

With Mike Beltran as the referee, Ayala and Mir battled it out in the heavyweight division at “Bellator 212.” It was the 10th bout of the Porterville native in Bellator MMA.

Beltran put a stop to the heavyweight bout between Ayala and Mir after 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Ayala knocked out Mir via submission to punches.

Beating Mir at “Bellator 212” improved Ayala’s professional MMA record to 11 wins and 7 losses. On the other hand, Mir now has 18 wins and 13 losses.

Born and raised in Porterville, Ayala started wrestling in the seventh grade. As an MMA fighter, he has been competing professionally since 2011.

On October 4, 2013, Ayala successfully made his debut in Bellator MMA. He knocked out Thiago “Big Monster” Santos, 32, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil via punches at “Bellator 102” at the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, California.

On March 7, 2014, Ayala knocked out Eric “The American Soldier” Prindle, 42, of Prescott, Arizona, USA at “Bellator 111” via punches at the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma, USA. On September 19, 2014, Ayala submitted Raphael “The Silencer” Butler, 34, of Rochester, Minnesota, USa via rear-naked choke at “Bellator 125” at the Savemart Center in Fresno, California.

On June 17, 2016, Ayala returned to the Savemart Center where he knocked out Roy “Black Dynamite” Boughton, 26, of Concord, California at “Bellator 156.” On November 4, 2016, the Porterville native knocked out Sergei Kharitonov, 38, of Moscow, Russia via punch at “Bellator 163” at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.
