More than two weeks before 2019, Catrional Gray became the fourth Miss Universe from the Philippines. Days before 2018 ends, the reigning Miss Universe 2018 shared her New Year’s resolution.
“My new year’s resolution would be to be more present, to really enjoy every single moment and to take more photographs,” Gray told Mega Magazine. “I really just let everything pass by and it is really nice and sentimental to keep keepsakes for yourself.”

The reigning Miss Universe 2018 was born in Cairns, Queensland, Australia on January 6, 1994. She is the only daughter of Ian Gray and Normita Ragas Magnayon.
After high school, Catriona moved from Australia to the Philippines. She started working as a commercial model and met her fellow model Clint Bondad, who is now her boyfriend for six years.
Catriona believes in the importance of self-care. With her strict schedule as Miss Universe 2018, she wants to make sure she still finds time to take care of herself.
Before the Miss Universe 2018 coronation, Catriona told Bianca Gonzalez in a Philippine Star interview that she got everything out of the way in the first few months after winning the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2018 title. For the beauty queen, a good mental space is very important.
For Catriona, it is necessary to get enough sleep, pamper her skin and hair to make sure she is glowing and to eat well to ensure that her energy is there. She said, “There’s something that’s pampering about doing a routine for yourself, that time you spend every day just for yourself.”
The first time Catriona got into beauty pageants was in 1999 when she won Little Miss Philippines in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Representing the Philippines, she competed in Miss World 2016 and finished in the Top 5.
