Brave Combat Federation has yet to announce the challenger of reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman of the Philippines at “Brave 22.” One of the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion’s fighters likely to challenge the Filipino champ is Jalal Al Daaja of Jordan.
Al Daaja is a civil engineer by profession. His family served in the armed forces of Jordan for generations, according to Arabs MMA.
Included in Al Daaja’s martial arts background are boxing, kickboxing and taekwondo. In his most recent bout, he knocked out Kantharaj Shankar Agasa of India of “Brave 20: Hyderabad,” which took place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India on December 22, 2018.
This made Al Daaja, who is now riding a three-bout winning streak, the first fighter to defeat Agasa. The victory at “Brave 20: Hyderabad” improved the Jordanian fighter’s professional MMA record to 6 wins and 3 losses.
Upon winning at “Brave 20: Hyderabad,” Al Daaja called out Loman. The Jordanian fighter said, “I had waited for so long.”
“This is my third win in Brave Combat Federation,” Al Daaja continued. “I have made the promise that I will bring the bantamweight world championship title to Jordan.”
“I request Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation, to make the fight for the bantamweight world championship title a reality,” the Jordanian fighter added. “I want to face the world champion from the Philippines at Brave Combat Federation.”
“Brave 22” will be the first event of Brave CF in 2019 and is the first event of the promotion to be held in the Philippines. It will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila on March 15, 2019.
Training out of Team Lakay in Baguio City, Philippines, Loman successfully defended his title twice in 2018 and now has 12 wins and 2 losses. The Igorot MMA fighter is one of the five reigning MMA world champion who is training under the tutelage of Team Lakay founder and head coach Mark Sangiao.
Loman is teammates with Brave CF bantamweight athlete Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, who is also expected to compete at “Brave 22.” Here is a clip featuring the reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion:
