Brave Combat Federation has announced the challenger of reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines in the main event of “Brave 22.” Challenging the Filipino champ is former Brave CF Featherweight Champion Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame, 25, of France.

“Brave 22” will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on March 15, 2019. It will be the first event of Brave CF in 2019 and it marks the first time the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion is holding an event in the Philippines.

This will be the first time Boudegzdame is fighting in the Philippines and the first time he is competing in the bantamweight division of Brave CF. On March 31, 2017, he became the inaugural Brave CF Featherweight Champion by submitting Masio “El Lobo” Fullen, 31, of Mexico via triangle choke at “Brave 4: Unstoppable” at the IPIC Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

On March 2, 2018, Boudegzdame successfully defended his belt at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises” at the Prince Hamzah Sporting Hall in Amman, Jordan. He submitted Jakub Kowalewicz, 25, of Poland via triangle choke.

But on September 21, 2018, Boudegzdame lost the belt to Bubba “Bad Man” Jenkins, 30, of the United States. The American challenger became the new Brave CF Featherweight Champion by defeating the French defending champion via unanimous decision at “Brave 16” at the Mubadla Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Currently, Boudegzdame holds a professional MMA record of 15 wins and 5 losses. On the other hand, Loman has 12 wins and 2 losses.

Loman is training out of Team Lakay in Baguio City, Philippines. “Brave 22” marks the first time he is defending his belt in his home country.

Several Filipino fighters and Team Lakay athletes are expected to be included in the “Brave 22” fight card. Among them are Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, 22, and Jon Chris “Happy Feet” Corton, 26.

In 2018, Loman successfully defended his belt twice. Here is the Team Lakay athlete’s most recent title defense:
