Training out of Gorilla Fight Club in Jakarta, Indonesia, Oscar Yaqut, 28, was one of the hometown heroes who won at “ONE: Eternal Glory,” which took place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia on January 19, 2019. It marked his first outing in ONE Championship and his professional mixed martial arts debut.

Two Muay Thai bouts and 12 mixed martial arts matches were featured on the “ONE: Eternal Glory” fight card. In the first bout of the evening, Yaqut faced his fellow Indonesian fighter Andreas “Yahyaz” Satyawan, 28, in an MMA match in the featherweight division.

Like Yaqut, Satyawan made his professional MMA debut and ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Eternal Glory.” Their fellow Indonesian fighters on the card were Aziz “The Krauser” Calim, 21, Adi “Zenwalk” Paryanto, 26, Anthony “The Archangel” Engelen, 33, “The Terminator” Sunoto, 33, Stefer “The Lion” Rahardian, 31, and Priscilla “Thathi” Hertati Lumban Gaol, 30.

A national sanda gold medalist, Yaqut did not disappoint in his promotional debut. He rattled Satyawan with a combination of solid strikes from the start.

In the second round, Satyawan tried to submit Yaqut via guillotine choke. However, the latter managed to escape, passed guard into mount and unloaded heavy punches and elbows until the former tapped out.

Referee Kemp Cheng put a stop to the contest after 2 minutes and 36 seconds in the second round when Yaqut knocked out Satyawan via strikes. Yaqut now holds a professional MMA record of 1 win and 0 loss while Satyawan has 0 win and 1 loss.

Yaqut currently lives in Surabaya. Satyawan currently lives in Semarang, Indonesia and trains out of Lindu Aji Fighting Club in Semarang.

Aside from Indonesia, Brazil, China, India, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and the United Kingdom were also represented at “ONE: Eternal Glory.” Check the complete fight card here.
