‘The Masked Singer’ Season 1 episode 4 recap: Margaret Cho is the Poodle

The Poodle was one of the mystery celebrity contestants who performed on “The Masked Singer” Season 1 episode 4 titled “Another Mask Bites the Dust,” which aired on Fox on January 23, 2019. She competed against the Alien, the Bee, the Raven and the Rabbit.

“Bring the Lolz,” read the caption of the Poodle’s photo for “Another Mask Bites the Dust.” There was also a video of her with a picture of a pair of dumbbell hand weights.

On episode 2 “New Masks on the Block,” the Poodle’s props included the rainbow flag and San Francisco. In the episode, she said, “Ever since I was a little girl I loved to be on stage and take on a character, which is why I chose the Poodle.”

“Like me they’re sassy, smart and best in show,” the Poodle continued. ” I come from a musical family but I’m known for a different kind of talent 415 stand up but it’s time I return to my musical roots to show a side of me it’s never seen before. To figure me out, you’re going to have to work.”

On “Another Mask Bites the Dust,” the Poodle said she loved being anonymous. She kept hinting at being a comedian and a judge.

The Poodle sang “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper. The song was the second single by the debut studio album of the latter titled “She’s So Unusual,” which was released in 1983.

“I have been fired multiple times,” the Poodle said. Panelist Jenny McGrath said she could be Kathy Griffin while guest panelist Joel McHale jokingly added the mystery singer could be Omarosa Manigault Newman.

In the end, the Poodle got the lowest votes. She had to unmask herself and those who guessed early on that she could be Margaret Cho were happy to find out that they were right.

Cho was born in San Francisco, California, United States on December 5, 1968 to Korean immigrants Cho Seung Hoon and Cho Young Hie. Margaret is known as one of the stand-up comedians who are also advocates of the LGBT community.

Margaret starred in “All-American Girl” from 1994 to 1995. She is set to play a fairy gay mother in the 2019 film “Friendsgiving.”

NFL player Antonio Brown was unmasked as the Hippo on episode 1 “Mask on Face Off” on January 2, 2019. Comedian Tommy Chong was revealed as the Pineapple on “New Masks on the Block” on January 9, 2019.

On January 16, 2019, NFL player and commentator Terry Bradshaw was unmasked as the Deer on episode 3 “Five Masks No More.” He was one of the guesses of the judges and the viewers.
