Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Curitiba, Brazil has been competing in Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation since 2017. He recently shared his prediction for the main event of “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors,” the first ever Brave CF event to take place in the Philippines.

“Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on March 15, 2019. It will be headlined by reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines and former Brave CF Featherweight Champion Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame, 25, of France.

In an attempt to dethrone Loman, Boudegzdame will move from featherweight to bantamweight. For Santiago, the Filipino defending champion will remain the champ as he is “faster and stronger” than Boudegzdame at bantamweight.

“I know the former featherweight champion Elias Boudegzdame is dropping down to his natural weight class and I know he has good jiu-jitsu,” Santiago shared. “But Loman has proved time and time again he’s one of the top fighters at Brave. He has some great wins and I think he’s either going to KO Elias or he’ll win a decision.”

Loman currently holds a professional MMA record of 12 wins and 2 losses. He is coming out of two successful title defenses against Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 27, of Ireland at “Brave 13: European Evolution” at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Felipe Efrain, 25, of Brazil on June 9, 2018 at “Brave 18” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain on November 16, 2018.

Currently with 15 wins and 5 losses, Boudegzdame is coming out of a loss to Bubba “Bad Man” Jenkins, 30, of the United States. The latter dethroned the former as the Brave CF Featherweight Champion at “Brave 16” at the Mubadla Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on September 21, 2018.

On the other hand, Santiago has 13 wins and 3 losses. He won three of his four Brave CF bouts.

On April 13, 2018, Santiago competed for the Interim Brave CF Lightweight Championship at “Brave 11” in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil but he lost to Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 30, of Brazil. The latter went on to compete for the Brave CF Lightweight Championship at “Brave 18” but lost to Abdul Kareem “Pride of Palestine” Al-Selwady, 23, of Jordan.
