‘The Masked Singer’ Season 1 episode 5 spoilers: Rabbit, Unicorn, Alien, Lion battle it out

Four of the eight remaining mystery celebrity contestants will compete on “The Masked Singer” Season 1 episode 5 titled “Mix and Masks.” They are the Rabbit, the Unicorn, the Alien and the Lion.

Joel McHale will no longer appear as a guest panelist on “Mix and Masks.” He joined resident panelists Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger and Jenny McCarthy on the third and fourth episodes “Five Masks No More” and “Another Mask Bites the Dust,” which aired on Fox on January 16, 2019 and January 23, 2019, respectively.

After performing “Get Your Shine On” of Florida Georgia Line, Terry Bradshaw was unmasked as The Deer on “Five Masks No More.” The Unicorn and the Lion sang “Oops, I Did It Again” by Britney Spears and “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone, respectively, on the episode.

The Rabbit and the Alien performed “Wake Me Up” by Avicii and “Lovefool” of The Cardigans, respectively, on “Another Mask Bites the Dust.” After singing  “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper, Margaret Cho was unmasked as the Poodle on the episode.

On “Mix and Masks,” new clues to the respective identities of  the Rabbit, the Unicorn, the Alien and the Lion will be given. The Rabbit is seen stepping on a basketball while his arms are crossed.

The Unicorn opens an old book but the words written on the page are blurred. She is also shown playing a white piano.

In a close-up shot, the Alien looks like she is doing sit-ups. The Lion is seen holding a glue gun while behind her is a man reminiscent of Will Smith’s character in “Men in Black.”

However, like in previous episodes, these objects offered as clues do not really reveal much. “Mix and Masks” will air on January 29, 2019 on Fox. Here is a teaser of the episode:
