Undefeated Russian-French fighter Abdoul Abdouraguimov to challenge Jarrah Al-Selawe at ‘Brave 23’ in Amman, Jordan

Undefeated Brave Combat Federation athlete Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 23, will challenge reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan at “Brave 23.” The challenger is fighting out of France but is originally from Russia.

“Brave 23” will take place in Amman, Jordan on April 19, 2019. It is the second time Brave CF is holding an event in the country, which is home to Al-Selawe and reigning Brave CF Lightweight Champion Abdul-Kareem “Pride of Palestine” Al-Selwady, 23.

Prior to “Brave 23,” Abdouraguimov defeated two opponents in Brave CF. In his promotional debut at “Brave 14” at the Omnisports Indoor Club of Tangier in Tangier, Morocco on August 18, 2018, he knocked out Sidney “The All-American Kid” Wheeler, 21, of the United States.

In Abdouraguimov’s most recent bout, which was at “Brave 17” at the Nistar Park Sports Complex in Lahore, Pakistan on October 27, 2018, he defeated Rodrigo Cavalheiro, 35, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil via unanimous decision. It improved the French-Russian fighter’s professional mixed martial arts record to 9 wins and 1 No Contest.

Abdouraguimov was 16 years old when he started his training with freestyle wrestling and was 19 years old when he started with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He was 21 years old when he started competing in MMA professionally.

On the other hand, Al-Selawe started competing as an amateur MMA fighter in 2012. He turned professional in 2013.

Al-Selawe is undefeated in Brave CF. “Brave 23” marks his seventh bout in the promotion.

When Al-Selawe made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 2: Dynasty” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain on December 2, 2016, he submitted Erik “The Last Viking” Carlsson, 25, of Sweden via kimura. Both via unanimous decision, the Jordanian fighter defeated Daniele “Scat” Scatizzi, 25, of Italy at “Brave 4” on March 31, 2017 at the IPIC Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and  Carl “The Bomber” Booth, 28, of England at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions” on November 17, 2017 at the Khalifa Sports City Arena.

On March 2, 2018, Al-Selawe submitted David Bear, 27, of France via triangle choke at “Brave 10” at the Prince Hamzah Sporting Hall in Amman. On May 11, 2018, the Jordanian fighter defeated Tahar “Fast Hands” Hadbi, 30, of Algeria via unanimous decision at “Brave 12: KHK Legacy” at the Balai Sarbini Hall, Jakarta, Indonesia.

On September 21, 2018, Al-Selawe challenged then reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion Carlston “Mocambique” Harris, 30, of Guyana and Brazil at “Brave 16” at the Mubadla Arena in Abu Dhabi. The challenger knocked out the defending champion via punches in the first round.

Prior to “Brave 23,” Brave CF will hold “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” on March 15, 2019 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines where Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines is defending his title for the third time.
