Vietnam’s Trịnh Văn Bảo crowned Mister International 2018 in Pasay City, Philippines

Representing Vietnam, Trịnh Văn Bảo, 25, was crowned Mister International 2018 at One Esplanade in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on February 24, 2019. He bested 38 other contestants from around the world.

This made Trinh the second Vietnamese man to win the Mister International title. The first one was Ngô Tiến Đoàn, who was crowned Mister International 2008 on November 24, 2008 in Tainan, Taiwan.

Originally from Hai Phong, Vietnam, Trinh is currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Before joining Mister International 2018, he joined Supermodel Vietnam 2018 and finished first runner-up.

Mister International 2017 Seung Hwan Lee, 25, of South Korea was present to crown Trinh. The South Korean outgoing titleholder was crowned at National Theatre of Yangon in Yangon, Myanmar on April 30, 2018.

Mister International 2018 is the 13th edition of the male international beauty pageant and it was the second time it took place in the Philippines. The first time was in 2015 when Mister International 2014 Neil Perez, 34, of the Philippines crowned Pedro Mendes, 31, of Switzerland as his successor.

Runner-up to Trinh as Mister International 2018 was Francesco Piscitelli, 21, of Venezuela. Waikin Kwan, 26, of Hong Kong was second runner-up.

Mark Kevin Janda Baloaloa, 26, of the Philippines and Jiří Kmoníček, 24, of Czech Republic made it to the Top 5. Mathias Duma, 23, of Norway, Nick Nolte, 28, of Thailand, Julián Rivera, 28, of Puerto Rico, Juan Ángel Barragán Gaviria, 23, of Panama and Arturo Paredes, 26, of the Dominican Republic made it to the Top 10.

Naykel Niño, 23, of Nicaragua won the Best in National Costume award. Duilio Vallebuona, 26, of Peru was the People’s Choice, which automatically qualified him in the Top 15.

Harrison Hans Luna, 21, of Australia, Tsuyoshi Takimura, 22, of Japan, Hwang Dae-woong, 29, of South Korea and Jesús Collado, 25, of Spain also made it to the Top 15. Watch the newly crowned Mister International 2018 titleholder’s homecoming in Vietnam here:
