Harold “The Artist” Banario, 24, of Mankayan, Benguet, Philippines was initially scheduled to face Gamzat Magomedov, 23, of St. Petersburg, Russia at “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors.” But the Russian fighter has been forced to pull out due to undisclosed reasons and will be replaced by Ariel “The Lady Boxer” Oliveros, 24, of Ormoc, Leyte, Philippines.
Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches, “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on March 15, 2019. In the fifth bout of the evening, Banario and Oliveros will battle it out in the bantamweight division.
Fighting out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines, Banario will be making his Brave CF debut at “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors.” His promotional debut was originally set at “Brave 20: India” at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India on December 22, 2018 against Angad Bisht, 20, of Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, India but it was cancelled.
Oliveros is the 11th Filipino fighter added to the “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” card. He is coming off a tough submission loss in his Brave CF debut as he was forced to tap from a ninja choke applied by Haider “The Giant” Farman, 22, of Islamabad, Pakistan at “Brave 17” at the Nistar Park Sports Complex in Lahore, Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Magomedov’s comeback fight for Brave CF will have to wait. Fighting out of KHK MMA Bahrain, the Russian fighter has 1 win and 1 loss in the promotion.
“Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” will be headlined by a title fight between reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines and Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame, 25, of France. Also set for the historical fight night are the lightweight bout between debutantes Jose “Shorty” Torres, 26, of the United States and Amir “The Prince” Albazi, 25, of Sweden and the lightweight bout between John Brewin, 24, of Auckland, New Zealand and Cian “The Warrior” Cowley, 25, of Dublin, Ireland.
