Henry Cejudo vs Marlon Moraes at ‘UFC 238’ in Chicago, Illinois

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will hold “UFC 238” at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, United States on June 8, 2019. In the main event,  Henry “The Messenger” Cejudo, 32, of Phoenix, Arizona, USA and Marlon “Magic” Moraes, 30, of Toms River, New Jersey, USA will compete for the vacant UFC Bantamweight Championship title.

On March 20, 2019, TJ “The Viper” Dillashaw, 33, of Denver, Colorado, USA vacated the UFC Bantamweight Championship title due to a failed drug test in relation to his recent loss to Cejudo. The two competed in the main event of “UFC Fight Night 143” at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA on January 19, 2019.

Cejudo is the reigning UFC Flyweight Champion. He holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 14 wins and 2 losses.

On the other hand, Moraes has 22 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw. He is the number one UFC bantamweight contender.

Upon the announcement about Dillashaw vacating the UFC Bantamweight Championship title, Cejudo and Moraes engaged in a war of words on Twitter. Both Cejudo and Moraes had expected that they would get the call to fight for Dillashaw’s former title.

Including the championship bout between Cejudo and Moraes, six bouts have been confirmed to be included to the “UFC 238” card. Tai “Bam Bam” Tuivasa, 26, of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and Blagoy “Bagata” Ivanov, 32, of Sofia, Bulgaria in the heavyweight division.

In the co-main event, Jessica “Evil” Eye, 32, of Independence, Ohio, USA will challenge reigning UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina “Bullet” Shevchenko, 31, of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Three more female bouts are on the “UFC 238” card.

Katlyn Chookagian and Joanne Calderwood will compete in the women’s flyweight division. Both in the women’s strawweight division, Felice Herrig will face Yan Xiaonan and Tatiana Suarez, 28, of Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA will face Nina “The Strina” Ansaroff, 33, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
