Undefeated Russian-French mixed martial artist Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 23, of France will face a hometown hero in the main event of “Brave 23” at the Al Hussein Youth City, Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall (Boxing Arena) in Amman, Jordan on April 19, 2019. He will challenge reigning Brave Combat Federation Welterweight Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan.

The bout will serve as Al-Selawe’s first title defense as the reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion and Abdouraguimov is ready to shock the world. Even though the latter only has two victories under the Brave CF banner, he beat two top fighters and climbed his way towards a title shot with dominant performances.

Abdouraguimov has surprised fans and analysts with his brutal ground and pound, well-timed takedowns and ever-improving stand-up skills. He made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 14” at the Omnisports Indoor Club of Tangier in Tangier, Morocco on August 18, 2018 against Sidney “The All-American Kid” Wheeler, 21, of the United States.

Wheeler is a decorated wrestler with multiple high school state titles to his name. But at “Brave 14,” Abdouraguimov was the superior fighter in all areas, including takedowns and ground and pound, and finished the fight in the very first round.

After impressing against Wheeler, Abdouraguimov was paired up against Rodrigo Cavalheiro, 35, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil in the main event at “Brave 17” at the Nistar Park Sports Complex in Lahore, Pakistan on October 27, 2018. The French-Russian submission machine faced a bigger and more experienced opponent and dominated.

The Brazilian veteran has 30 professional MMA fights on his resume, as well as boxing bouts and competitive Jiu-Jitsu matches. He trains out of American Top Team, one of the best gyms in the world, and was riding a two-fight win streak with two brutal knockouts but was unable to match the intensity of Abdouraguimov at “Brave 17.”

With a very peculiar background, Abdouraguimov has made waves in the grappling world with titles in the European circuit before changing his focus to MMA. He holds a professional MMA record of 9 wins, 0 loss and 1 No Contest.

Brave CF is holding “Brave 23” in cooperation with the Royal Hospital. The City Mall is the show’s official entertainment partner.

“Brave 23” marks Abdouraguimov’s third Brave CF outing. Meanwhile, here is his “Brave 17” post-fight cage interview:
