John “The Outlaw” Adajar, 28, is still the URCC Global Welterweight Championship. He successfully defended his belt at “URCC Global: Raw Fury,” the first event of the Philippines-based mixed martial arts promotion URCC Global in 2019.

Featuring 10 MMA matches, “URCC Global: Raw Fury” took place at The Cove at Okada Manila in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines on April 27, 2019. In the seventh bout of the evening, Miguel Mosquera, 26, challenged the reigning URCC Global Welterweight Champion.

The match between Adajar and Mosquera one of the five title bouts at “URCC Global: Raw Fury.” The referee put a stop to the contest after 2 minutes and 4 seconds when the defending champion knocked out his challenger.

Winning at “URCC Global: Raw Fury” improved the professional MMA record of Adajar to 6 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, Mosquera now has 4 wins and 3 losses.

Both fighting out of the Philippines, Mosquera and Adajar were among the 17 hometown heroes who competed at “URCC Global: Raw Fury.” China, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland and the United States were also represented.

Mosquera has been competing professionally since 2013. “URCC Global: Raw Fury” marked his fourth URCC Global bout.

“URCC Global: Raw Fury” marked Adajar’s seventh URCC Global bout. All of his seven professional MMA bouts are under the promotion.

On June 25, 2016, Adajar knocked out Jericho Tomagan of the Philippines via punches at “URCC Fight Night 3” at the Casino Filipino-Pavilion in Manila, Metro Manila. In 2017, Adajar defeated three opponents.

On April 21, 2017, Adajar knocked out Dunlee Stewart of the Philippines via punches at “URCC Fight Night: Battle Extreme Tournament of Superstars 2” at the Casino Filipino-Pavilion. On August 12, 2017, Adajar defeated Jet Hermida of the Philippines via verbal submission at “URCC 30” at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

On September 15, 2017, Adajar won via split decision against at Min Hyuk Lee of South Korea at “URCC Fight Night: Battle Extreme Tournament of Superstars 3” at the Casino Filipino-Pavilion. On September 29, 2018, Adajar became the URCC Global Welterweight Champion by knocking out Afonso “Cego” Celso of Brazil at “URCC Colossal” at the Araneta Coliseum.
