Bulacan has four component cities namely Baliwag, Malolos, Meycauayan and San Jose del Monte and 20 municipalities namely Angat, Balagtas, Bocaue, Bulakan, Bustos, Calumpit, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Guiguinto, Hagonoy, Marilao, Norzagaray, Obando, Pandi, Paombong, Plaridel, Pulilan, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, San Rafael and Santa Maria. The capital of the province is Malolos.

On May 19, 2018, Jean Nicole de Jesus represented San Rafael at Miss Earth Philippines 2018 and competed against 41 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She ranked fourth and was crowned Miss Fire Philippines 2018.
