Pangasinan has three component cities namely Alaminos, San Carlos and Urdaneta and 44 municipalities including Lingayen and Rosales. The province has 1,333 barangays, 32 of which are in Lingayen, the capital of the province.

On June 11, 2016, Eva Eunice Reinoso represented Alaminos and Shannon Rebecca Bridgman represented Rosales at Miss Philippines Earth 2016 and competed against 44 other candidates at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Reinoso was unplaced while Bridgman ranked fourth and was crowned Miss Philippines Fire 2016.
