Brave CF to return to Colombia, partners with LFC Colombia

Brave Combat Federation received a warm welcome from the Colombian sports community in a press conference on May 26, 2019 in Bogoto, Colombia. Announced during the event was the partnership between the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion and Colombian MMA promotion Latin Fighter Championship Colombia.

Representing Brave CF was its president Mohammed “The Hawk” Shahid. He met several government officials in Colombia including Colombian Conservative Party councilor Glória Diaz Martinez.

On September 7, 2018, Brave CF made its first ever event to take place in Colombia. Titled “Brave 15: Colombia,” the event was held at the Alejandro Galvis Ramirez Bicentennial Coliseum in Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia.

On September 7, 2019, Brave CF will return to Colombia. The event will take place in Bogota in partnership with LFC Colombia, which has steadily become a rising force in the local fight scene and has taken over the world of MMA in Colombia and Latin America in general.

LFC has become known for paying special attention to amateur MMA and other combat sports. It hosted seminars with legends of the sport such as Stephan Bonnar.

The return to Colombia aims to further develop the sport in the area, a commitment made in at “Brave 15: Colombia.” Headlined by Godofredo Castro and Alex Torres, it marked the first time a truly global MMA promotion hosted an event in Colombia.

The second Brave CF event to take place in Colombia reinforces the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa of taking MMA to all parts of the world. He aims to provide fighters from different regions with opportunities to showcase their talents in a global platform, as well as giving BRAVE fans around the globe the chance to watch their heroes perform live.

Brave CF will announce further details of the show in the next months as the promotion gears up for another record-breaking year after organizing 12 shows in 12 different countries in 2018. Meanwhile, here are Kirik Jenness and Carlos Kremer talking about “Brave 15: Colombia” in 2018:
