Singapore Fighting Championship is a month away from its next event titled “Eight Limbs.” The combat sports promotion’s team is back with round seven of its smashing multi-discipline event to make history with not one but two unprecedented World Boxing Council National Muay Thai Title bouts.
“SFC 7: Eight Limbs” will take place at the Juggernaut Fight Club at 10 Seng Poh Road in Tiong Bahru, Singapore on June 29, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It will feature fighters not only from Singapore but also from India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
The fighters will be joined by back-to-back WBC Asia Female Fighter of the Year winner and Asia’s number one featherweight female boxer Nurshahidah “The Sniper” Roslie, 31, of Singapore. She will fight for her right to be the first Singaporean to contend for a world title.
Born in Singapore on October 18, 1987, Roslie has been competing professionally since 2016. Managed by Arvind Lalwani, she competes in the super bantamweight division and holds a professional boxing record of 13 wins and 2 losses.
Tickets for “SFC 7: Eight Limbs” are now available at the Juggernaut Fight Club and other gyms in Singapore including Evolve MMA, Hilltop Academy, Impact MMA, Muse Fitness Club and Vanda at $40. During the event, each ticket will be sold at $45 at the door.
Hailing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, stand-up comedian Kavin Jayaram, 39, who is also known as Kavin Jay, will host “SFC 7: Eight Limbs.” The complete fight card will be released soon.
Founded in 2014, SFC aims to foster the growth of combat sports in Singapore. It is known for having both MMA and boxing in its fight cards.
In 2016, SFC spread its grounds by welcoming not only to amateur mixed martial artists but also to amateur boxers and Muay Thai fighters. “SFC 7: Eight Limbs” marks the first time the promotion is adding Muay Thai in its event.
