Training at Straight Blast Gym Ireland in Dublin, Ireland with Conor “The Notorious” McGregor, 30, Cian “The Warrior” Cowley, 25, is one of the top lightweight athletes of Brave Combat Federation. While Cowley is coming off his first loss in the promotion, he has been reenergized by the possibility of bouncing back at “Brave 24: London” on July 25, 2019.
Brave CF will hold “Brave 24: London” at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park inside the Copper Box Arena in London, England. In the co-main event of the evening, Cowley will face promotional newcomer Maciej “MagicMan” Gierzewski, 32, of Lebork, Poland.
“I don’t even know how to say his last name,” Cowley said of Gierszweski. “It’s Maciej something. I know that he made the lightweight limit on the scale for his last fight so that shows he can make the weight, which is good.”
“But I know that now is going to be harder for him to make the weight,” McGregor’s SBG Ireland teammate added. “But that doesn’t change anything”
“Brave 24: London” will be an exclusive, invite-only event, which will expose and connect the highest level of influencers, celebrities, businessmen and politicians to mixed martial arts. As a professional fighter in action, Cowley is looking forward to experiencing this even if it is inside the Arena.
“My next fight is, uh, in London,” Cowley explained. “It’s an invite-only show. The idea is that there’s going to be celebrities there.”
“Social media influencers, people from the government,” Cowley continued. “It’s a VIP show, a black-tie, red carpet event, there will be dinner and shows.”
“So it’s the first of its kind in a professional MMA organization, so it’s a big thing to be on it, ” the SBG Ireland athlete added. “I can’t wait to go out there.”
