Gamzat Magomedov

Training out of Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA) in Manama, Bahrain, Russian mixed martial artist Gamzat Magomedov, 24, was one of the winners at “Brave 24: London.” It was his second victory in Bahrain-based MMA promotion Brave Combat Federation.

Featuring seven professional MMA bouts, “Brave 24: London” took place at the Copper Box Arena in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, England on July 25, 2019. In the second bout of the evening, Magomedov fought Ian “Concrete” Cleary, 33, of Ireland in the bantamweight division.

After three five-minute rounds, the bantamweight bout was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, the referee raised the hand of Magomedov, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

It was a redemptive win for Magomedov. The KHK MMA fighter was coming out of a disqualification loss to J.P. “Young Savage” Buys, 23, of South Africa at “Brave 17” in Lahore, Pakistan on October 27, 2018.

Winning at “Brave 24: London” improved the professional MMA record of Magomedov to 4 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, Cleary now has 1 win and 3 losses.

Including Russia and Ireland, 11 countries were represented at “Brave 24: London.” The others were Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, England, Lebanon, Northern Ireland, Poland, the United States and Wales.

Cleary made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 24: London.” He was one of the two fighters who represented Ireland.

Magomedov solely represented Russia at “Brave 24: London” and was one of the two fighters who represented Bahrain. It was his third outing in Brave CF.

Born in St. Petersburg, Russian on June 10, 1995, Magomedov was undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter. In 2017, he won all of his five bouts at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation World Championships at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Manama.

In 2014, Magomedov made his successful professional MMA debut in Moscow Pankration Federation in Moscow, Russia. In 2015, he competed in Liga Kavkaz in Dagestan, Russia.

On May 11, 2018, Magomedov made his successful debut in Brave CF. He defeated Zechariah “Earth Man” Lange, 29,of the United States via unanimous decision at “Brave 12: KHK Legacy” at the Balai Sarbini in Jakarta Indonesia.
