Dae Sung “Crazy Dog” Park, 26, of South Korea was one of the winners at “ONE: Dawn of Heroes.” It was the third victory of the South Korean mixed martial artist in ONE Championship.

Featuring 13 mixed martial arts matches and two Muay Thai matches, “ONE: Dawn of Heroes” took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. In the seventh bout of the evening, Park faced Honorio “The Rock” Banario, 29, of the Philippines in an MMA match in the lightweight division with Yoshinori Umeki as the referee.

In the first round, Park came out firing powerful combinations and actively pursuing the takedown. He dropped Banario with a head kick and followed him to the mat for some ground-and-pound nearly finishing the Filipino contender.

Banario survived and came back with a flurry of his own, sending Park reeling towards the ropes. In the third round, the South Korean fighter rocked his Filipino opponent again with a high kick, which the latter recovered well from.

After three five-minute rounds, the lightweight contest was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Umeki raised the hand of Park, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “ONE: Dawn of Heroes” improved the professional MMA record of Park to 10 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Banario now has 14 wins and 9 losses.
