Training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines, Lito Adiwang, 26, was one of the winners at “Rich Franklin’s ONE Warriors Series” Season 7. It was his third bout and third win in the ONE Championship subsidiary headed by mixed martial arts veteran Rich “Ace” Franklin, 44, of the United States.
ONE Championship held “ONE Warrior Series 7” in Singapore on August 6, 2019 featuring one Muay Thai contest and 14 professional MMA matches. In the 15th bout of the evening, Adiwang competed in an MMA match in the strawweight division against Anthony “The Antidote” Do, 26, of Vietnam.
Isaac Yap served as the referee of the strawweight contest. After three five-minute rounds, the bout was left in the hands of the judges.
In the end, Yap raised the hand of Adiwang, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision. The Team Lakay fighter is now riding a five-bout winning streak.
Winning at “ONE Warrior Series 7” improved the professional MMA record of Adiwang to 9 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Do now has 7 wins and 3 losses.
It was on October 11, 2018 when Adiwang earned his first ONE Warrior Series win. He knocked out Jose “Tick” Huerta, 27, of the U.S. via punches in the first round at “ONE Warrior Series 3.”
On February 28, 2019, Adiwang won in the ONE Warrior Series ring for the second time. He knocked out Alber “War Machine” Correia, 22, of Brazil via punches in the first round at “ONE Warrior Series 4.”
Including the Philippines and Vietnam, 16 countries were represented at “ONE Warrior Series 7.” The others are Australia, Brazil, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Northern Ireland, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and the U.S.
The Philippines had five representatives namely Adiwang, Ismael Bandiwan, 23, Jenelyn Olsim, 22, Dave “Kintas” Bangguigui, 23, and Allan Albindo, 22. Do and Uyen Ha, 22, represented Vietnam.
