A sequel to “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” “Spider-Man: Far from Home” was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers and directed by Jon Watts. Co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios and distributed by Sony Pictures, the superhero film hit theaters on July 2, 2019.
Principal photography started on July 2, 2018 in Hertfordshire, England. Venice was recreated on one of the backlots of Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire.
Much of the beauty of the superhero film are from its visual effects. These were provided by Framestore, Image Engine, Industrial Light and Magic, Luma Pictures, Method Studios, Rising Sun Pictures, Scanline VFX, Sony Pictures Imageworks and Territory Studio.
