South Korean boy band BTS member Kim Seok Jin, 26, who is professionally known as Jin, released a song titled “Epiphany” on August 25, 2018. The music video was published on YouTube on August 9, 2018 and was viewed more than 20 million times in the first 24 hours.

Two days before the anniversary of the “Epiphany” music video, it reached 50 million views on YouTube. Collectively known as A.R.M.Y., BTS fans took to Twitter to celebrate the milestone.

The “Epiphany” music video, which is 4 minutes and 21 seconds long, switches from black-and-white to color. It was directed by Yong-seok Choi with his Lumpens fellows Guzza, Park Hyejeong and Jeong Minje as his assistant directors.

Kim Bona and Park Jinsil from MU:E were the art directors. Also part of the crew were Song Sukki as the technical director, Hong Yeongjun as the key scenic artist, Kim Daehong as the robot arm operator and Shin Seunghoon as the gaffer.

“Epiphany” was written by Bang Si Hyuk, 46, Kwon Do Hyeong, 28, Park Soo Hyun, 22, whose respective stage names are “hitman” bang, Slow Rabbit, and Adora. On December 29, 2018, the soft rock ballad song was promoted at the 2018 KBS Song Festival.

Slow Rabbit solely produced “Epiphany.” It was one of the tracks from “Love Yourself: Answer,” the third Korean-language compilation album of BTS.

Big Hit Entertainment formed BTS in 2013 in Seoul, South Korea. Jin’s bandmates are Min Yoon Gi, 26, Jung Ho Seok, 25, Kim Nam Joon, 24, Park Ji Min, 23, Kim Tae Hyung, 23, and Jeon Jung Kook, 21, whose respective stage names are Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook.

Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook are the vocalists of BTS. Suga, J-Hope and RM are the rappers.

Like the other songs from “Love Yourself: Answer,” “Epiphany” talks about the importance of self-love. Here is the music video of the song by Jin of BTS:
