Uzbek-Czech mixed martial artist Makhmud “Mach” Muradov, 29, has signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. On September 17, 2019, he took to Instagram to share the news to his followers.
This makes Muradov the first Uzbek MMA fighter to join the UFC. He will make his promotional debut at “UFC Fight Night 160,” also known as “UFC on ESPN+ 18.” He will face Alessio “Manzo” Di Chirico, 29, of Rome, Italy.
The UFC will hold “UFC Fight Night 160” at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 28, 2019. One of the matches is a middleweight bout between Muradov and Di Chirico.
The Italian contender was originally set to face Peter Sobotta, 32, of Balingen, Germany at “UFC Fight Night 160.” The latter pulled out from the fight due to injury.
Born in Uzbekistan on February 8, 1980, Muravod has been competing professionally since 2012. He currently lives in Prague, Czech Republic.
In 2018, Muradov signed with Mayweather Promotions. He is the first and still the only MMA fighter to be signed with the boxing promotional firm founded in 2007 by undefeated boxer Floyd “Pretty Boy” Mayweather Jr., 42, of Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
As a professional MMA fighter, Muradov has 22 wins and 6 losses. The Uzbek-Czech fighter is riding an 11-bout winning streak and won his three most recent bouts via knockout.
