Tarlac’s Levin Arguelles is Mister International Philippines 2019

University of Santo Tomas alum Levin Arguelles, 22, has been crowned Mister International Philippines 2019. He hails from Barangay San Vicente, Tarlac City, Tarlac.

On September 21, 2019, Arguelles competed against 21 other Filipino bachelors in Misters of Filipinas 2019. It was the seventh edition of the Philippine male beauty pageant.

Hosted by Binibining Pilipinas 2007 candidate Erika Ibasco Pangan, 31, and Miss Asia Pacific International 2016 second runner-up Ganiel Krishnan, 25, the Misters of Filipinas 2019 coronation night took place at the Fill Oil Flying V Center in San Juan City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Among the judges were actor Rafael Rossell, 36, Miss Universe Cambodia 2019 Somnang Alyna, 18, and Miss Eco International 2019 runner-up Maureen Montagne, 26.

Representing Tarlac, Arguelles earned the second highest title, which is Mister International Philippines 2019. He also won three special awards namely Best in Regional Costume, Mister Photogenic and Best in Formal Wear.

Crowning Arguelles was Mister International Philippines 2018 Kevin Baloaloa, 26, of Catanauan, Quezon. The latter made it to the Top 5 in Mister International 2019, which also culminated at the Fill Oil Flying V Center.

Aside from Arguelles as Mister International Philippines 2019, four other titleholders were crowned. They were Man of the World Philippines 2019 Tommy Penaflor, 25,of Bataan, Mister Model Worldwide Philippines 2019 Gianluca Lanta, 21, who is based in Italy, Mister Tourism and Culture Universe Philippines 2019 Vandave Paragas, 20, of Pasig City, Metro Manila and Mister Model of the Universe Philippines 2019 Kevin Jay Secoya, 22, of Cebu City.

Joseph Xavier Pili, 24, of Tabaco City, Albay was first runner-up. Bonjour Veloso Adasa, 20, of Misamis Oriental was second runner-up.

"On the path to greatness" I know this post is untimely as I have already been crowned more than 2 weeks ago; Nevertheless, I do think it's never too late to extend my gratitude towards everyone who has been a part of my journey. Yes, everyone, even the naysayers that have doubted my capabilities in winning the title. You have only made my will to compete stronger. With this I would like to say thank you to all that were essential to my victory. First and foremost, To my family, who have given me their undying support through their words and actions. Thank you dad and mom. I will be forever grateful. To my friends, all of your cheers for me have not gone to waste, let my title be a testament to that. To my handler/hairstylist, Rex Gomez and Make Up Artist Pops de Guzman; For guiding and mentoring me all throughout the competition. To my co-candidates, I certainly have learned a great deal of things from being around you fine gentlemen. I hope you have learned something from me as well. Thank you for the comradeship. I would also like to thank our Tarlac City Mayor Cristy Angeles, for her support and assistance. Not just to me, but to my fellow Tarlac City candidates. Your trust and belief in us is greatly appreciated. Let me say thank you to our Governor Susan Yap as well, for making this exceptional event happen. May you continue to serve our fellow Tarlaqueños with utmost diligence. Thank you to Popoy S. Caritativo for all the valuable advice that you have given me. It has truly been beneficial to my journey. I'd like to thank and commend all the organizers of Mister Tarlac, Special thanks to: Makoy Manlapaz Marvin Dioanay, Ton Guardion Ron Nigel Navarro Cokiangco, Ryan Jay, Daryl Christian Enriquez Inalvez, Calvin Yves for a job well done. Lastly, I am very thankful that PHILOSOPHY was able to open my mind to an abundance of knowledge because with this, I was able to nurture my values and ideals toward life. If Arguelles wins Mister International 2020, he will become the second titleholder of the international male beauty pageant from the Philippines. The first one was police officer Neil Perez, 34, who was crowned Mister International 2014 in Ansan, South South Korea.

Arguelles holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. He studied at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila from 2013 to 2017. Meanwhile, watch the full Misters of Filipinas 2019 coronation night here:
