Model Lina Ljungberg, 22, will represent Sweden in Miss Universe 2019. She is the 65th woman to represent the country in the international beauty pageant run by the Miss Universe Organization, which is currently owned by the WME/IMG talent agency.
Hailing from Östergötland, Sweden, Ljungberg was born on June 11, 1997 and has been working as a model since 2012. In 2017, she competed in Miss Universe Sweden and won the second highest title Miss International Sweden 2017.
In Miss International 2017 in Tokyo, Japan, Ljungberg was unplaced. In 2018, she competed in Miss Universe Sweden again and won the third highest title Miss Bikini.
Both in the 2017 and 2018 editions of Miss Universe Sweden, Ljungberg won the Miss Photogenique Sweden award. For the third time, she competed in the same beauty pageant and finally won the top crown.
On September 29, 2019, Ljungberg was crowned Miss Universe Sweden 2019 at Café Opera in Stockholm, Sweden. She bested 17 other candidates including Paulina Kielczewska, Yasmine Mindru, Stina Nordlander and Fredrika Hall.
