“Pretty Boy” Kwon Won Il, 24, of South Korea was one of the winners at “ONE: Century 世紀” in Tokyo, Japan. It was the Korean mixed martial artist’s third victory in ONE Championship.
Featuring MMA, Muay Thai and kickboxing matches, “ONE: Century 世紀” had two parts with 11 bouts each both of which took place at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo on October 12, 2019. In the first bout of the first part, Kwon fought “The Terminator” Sunoto, 34, of Indonesia in an MMA bout at a catch weight of 68kg.
Motohiro Tsuruwa served as the referee. He asked for a brief pause in the first round due to an accidental low blow.
Moments later, Kwon went on the offensive, putting Sunoto down with a punch and finishing him off with ground-and-pound. Tsuruwa put a stop to the catchweight bout after 1 minute and 43 seconds in the first round when the South Korean knocked out his Indonesian opponent.
Winning at “ONE: Century 世紀” improved the professional MMA record of Kwon to 8 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Sunoto now has 11 wins and 7 losses.
Kwon is training out of Extreme Combat and Top Gym BF. Sunoto trains at IndoGym and Team Phanton MMA.
