PINACO is 2019 SEA Games, 2020 ASEAN Para Games platinum sponsor

PINACO is now a platinum sponsor of the 30th Southeast Asian Games and 10th ASEAN Para Games. The sponsorship of the Vietnam’s leading dry cell and storage battery brand was made official in a ceremony at the Pavillion 3 of the Shangri-La at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines, which was attended by Conan Daily.

During the event, PINACO signed a commitment of support with Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) for the hosting of the 30th SEA Games. It was signed by PINACO general director Tran Thanh Van, Mediapro Asia sponsorship sales and marketing senior director Salauddin Sulaiman Sinnakandu and PHISGOC director of support and operations Jojit Alcazar.

Sinnakandu and Alcazar represented Mediapro Asia managing director Lars Heidenreich and PHISGOC chairman Alan Cayetano, respectively. Also present during the event was 2019 SEA Games Ceremonies and Cultural Event director Mike Aguilar.

“Since our last partnership announcement, we are excited to once again have another partner on board for the SEA Games,” Heidenreich said in a statement. “With PINACO, this opens up the Vietnamese market for us, and we are hoping that this would be the first of many other collaborations with PINACO.”

PINACO has been the constant companion of many major regional and international sports events. The Vietnamese company will be leveraging on this SEA Games as the opportunity to lead-up into the 2021 SEA Games taking place in Vietnam.

For the past year, PHISGOC has been successful in tapping private companies to sponsor the events and augment the organizing committee’s budget. The entry of PINACO helps the organizing committee to raise its standards of hosting the 30th SEA Games.

According to Cayetano, the partnership with PINACO adds to the growing list of private companies expressing their support for the Philippines hosting. He said, “The overwhelming support of international brands boosts our efforts to facilitate our preparations and inspire us to work even harder every day.”

PHISGOC is expecting 11,000 athletes and team officials and 9,000 volunteers to participate in the 530 medal events covering 56 sports in 53 competition venues for the 2019 SEA Games. The events will take place in four clusters in Clark, Subic, Metro Manila and other areas in South Luzon. from November 30, 2019 to December 11, 2019. The 10th ASEAN Para Games will be held in January 2020 also in the Philippines, marking the second time the country is hosting the biannual multi-sport event for athletes with physical disabilities.

Van felt honored to sponsor the sports events. The PINACO general director said, “It is such a great honor and pride for PINACO to be one of the official Platinum Partners of this event in the hopes of contributing to the success of the Games, especially given that the 30th SEA Games is the largest sports event in the region.”

The 2019 SEA Games is targeting more than 500 million viewers. Given that this sports event is being promised as one of the biggest ever with, this would look to be a valuable sponsorship in exposures and PHISGOC officials expressed their gratitude for giving their trust and confidence to the organizing committee.
