“ONE: Age of Dragons” is the next ONE Championship event to take place in China. Added to the card is a bantamweight mixed martial arts between Yusup “Maestro” Saadulaev, 34, of Russia and Daichi Takenaka, 29, of Japan.

Born in Dagestan, Russia, Saadulaev has been competing professionally since 2008 and he joined ONE Championship in 2012. He is a TFC Featherweight Champion and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt.

Takenaka has been competing professionally since 2012. He is training out of Paraestra Izumi in Izumi, Osaka, Japan and HybridFighter in Tokyo, Japan.

On January 29, 2019, Takenaka turned 29 and on March 31, 2019, Saadulaev turned 34. The Japanese MMA fighter is 5’6″ tall while his Russian opponent is 5’5″ tall.

“ONE: Age of Dragons”

ONE Championship will hold “ONE: Age of Dragons” at the Cadillac Arena in Beijing, China on November 16, 2019. Including the bantamweight bout between Saadulaev and Takenaka, the combat sports event will feature 12 matches not only in mixed martial arts but also in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series with kickboxing and Muay Thai contests.

In the main event, reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Ilias Ennahachi of the Netherlands will defend his world title against challenger “Metal Storm” Wang Wenfeng of China. In the co-main event, Tarik “The Tank” Khbabez of Morocco and Roman Kryklia of Ukraine will do battle for the inaugural ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Championship.

ONE Championship has also announced a partnership with Bloomage International. As the strategic partner, the latter will work closely with the Singapore-based martial arts organization in developing its brand across all platforms.
