Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol, 31, of Indonesia has earned her seventh victory in ONE Championship. She was one of the hometown heroes who won at “ONE: Dawn of Valor” at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 25, 2019.
“ONE: Dawn of Valor” featured 13 mixed martial arts bouts and three ONE Super Series contests, which are two kickboxing contests and one Muay Thai fight. In the fifth bout of the evening, Gaol competed in an MMA bout in the atomweight division against Bozhena “Toto” Antoniyar, 24, of Myanmar.
Yoshinori Umeki served as the referee. It was the Wushu striking of Gaol versus the rapid punching combinations of Antoniyar for three whole rounds.
Action went back and forth but it was Gaol who did better work when the action hit the mat. The hometown hero controlled Antoniyar on the ground and did more damage all throughout the contest.
After three five-minute rounds, the atomweight contest was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Umeki raised the hand of Gaol, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Winning at “ONE: Dawn of Valor” improved the professional MMA record of Gaol to 7 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Antoniyar now has 3 wins and 2 losses.
Including Myanmar and Indonesia, 15 other countries were represented at “ONE: Dawn of Valor.” The others were Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Sweden, Tajikistan, Timor Leste and the United States.
Gaol was among the 10 fighters who represented Indonesia. Training out of Siam Training Camp, Gaol made her professional MMA debut by joining ONE Championship in 2017 and she is now riding a two-bout winning streak.
Antoniyar solely represented Myanmar. She is training out of Bali MMA.
The first six opponents Gaol defeated in the promotion were Audreylaura Boniface, Krisna Limbaga, Rome Trinidad, Jomary Torres, Angelie Sabanal and Nou Srey Pov. Meanwhile, here is a recap of “ONE: Dawn of Valor” from Michael Schiavello and Mitch “The Dragon” Chilson:
