Bukidnon’s Cyd Pangca is ‘The Voice Kids Philippines’ Season 4 second runner-up

Hailing from Bukidnon, Cyd Pangca was the second runner-up of the fourth season of the Philippine version of “The Voice Kids.” His coach was Lea Salonga.

Coached by Bamboo Manalac, Carmelle Collado of Naga City, Camarines Sur was the first runner-up. Coached by Sarah Geronimo, Vanjoss Bayaban of Pangasinan was the grand champion.

Bayaban received 62.11 percent of the combined online and text votes. Collado received 24.74 percent while Pangca got 13.15 percent.

This marked the second time a finalist coached by Geronimo won “The Voice Kids Philippines.” The first one was Lyca Gyranod of Tanza, Cavite, who won the first season in 2014.

Coached by Mañalac, Elha Nympha of Parañaque City, Metro Manila won the second season in 2015. Joshua Oliveros, who hails from Antique and was coached by Salonga, won the third season in 2016.

 

Aired live on ABS-CBN, the grand finals of “The Voice Kids Philippines” Season 4 took place at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philipines. In the first part, which was on November 2, 2019, three finalists performed a duet with their respective coaches then one solo each.

Pangca and Salonga sang “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper. After this, he performed “Come Alive” by Zendaya, Hugh Jackman, Keala Settle, Daniel Everidge and “The Greatest Showman” ensemble.

Before the announcement of the results on November 3, 2019, the grand finalists sang power ballads. Pangca sang “This is the Moment” by Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse.
