Yana Haenisch, 23, of Namibia almost won the Miss Supranational 2019 crown, which was given to Anntonia Porsild, 22, of Thailand. On December 6, 2019, the Namibian beauty queen was named the first runner-up of the 11th edition of the international beauty pageant based in Poland.
Hosted by Anita Jones and Domian Kordas, the Miss Supranational 2019 coronation night took place at the Międzynarodowe Centrum Kongresowe w Katowicach in Katowice, Silesia, Poland on December 6, 2019. Including Haenisch and Porsild, 77 candidates competed for the title.
Miss Supranational 2018 Valeria Vázquez Latorre, 25, of Puerto Rico graced the coronation night to crown Porsild as her successor. Hailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, she is the international beauty pageant’s first ever titleholder from the Caribbean.
Vázquez also joined the panel of judges, which was headed by Nowa Scena president Parzutka von Lipinski. The other judges were choreographer Tomasz Barański, Firma Jubiler Schubert director general Robert Czepiel, Joseph Liu from Calvin Klein, fashion designer Ela Piorun, model Sara Kovitzka, actress and singer Aleksandra “Ola” Szwed, NHL hockey player Mariusz Czerkawski, Mister Supranational 2018 Prathamesh Maulingkar and Miss Supranational 2011 Monika Lewczuk.
Jesica Fitriana, 24, of Indonesia was second runner-up. Janick Maceta, 25, of Peru and Gabriela de la Cruz, 20, of Venezuela were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
To open the coronation night, Dorota “Doda” Rabczewska-Stępień, 35, of Poland sang “Wonder Woman,” “Free Your Mind” and “You Don’t Own Me” and in the latter part of the show, she sang “Nie Mam Dokad Wracać.” Mikoláš Josef, 24, of Czech Republic also performed “Acapela” and Piotr Cugowski, 40, of Poland sang “Kto Nie Kochał” during the ceremony.
