Carl “The Bomber” Booth, 29, of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England looked nothing like a fighter who had been away from mixed martial arts for a year. At “BRAVE CF 32” at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on December 14, 2019, the Englishman used all of his striking techniques to dominate Hayder “Hulk” Hassan, 37, of the United States in the welterweight division.

By beating Hassan at “BRAVE CF 32,” Booth extended his winning streak and called out reigning BRAVE CF Welterweight World Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan. The two fighters previously competed twice.

Al-Selawe was knocked out by Booth at “Cage Warriors Fight Night 10” on March 28, 2014 at the King Hussein Youth City Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan. When they had their rematch at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain at “BRAVE CF 9: The Kingdom of Champions” on November 17, 2017, the Jordanian fighter won via unanimous decision.

Featuring five MMA bouts, “BRAVE CF 32” was held in a partnership with WEF Global. The welterweight bout between Booth and Hassan was the main event of the evening.

Booth showcased a truly complete game, made sure he was always on his own distance and denied Hassan’s takedown attempts. The Nottingham native scored with several types of kicks, hard hooks to the body and stiffing jabs, one of which seemed to break his Iraqi-American opponent’s nose in the first five minutes of battle.

Hassan soldiered on and tried to make it a brawl booth maintained his composure, scoring at will with several tough shots, including uppercuts and various hooks to the body which slowed the Iraqi-American contender down in the later rounds. After the fight, the winner spoke in front of a sold-out crowd about his wishes of facing Al-Selawe in London, England as they have forged a long-standing rivalry with two bouts already taking place between them with one victory apiece.

In the co-main event, there was a violent victory for Kyrgyzstan. Hometown hero Abdysalam “Omok” Kubanychiev, 25, knocked out João Paulo Rodrigues, 38, of Brazil with vicious strikes after the latter tried to go for a kneebar inside the first round.
