Gibraltar is a British overseas territory in Southern Europe. Located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, the territory is bordered to the north by Spain.

On April 11, 1713, Gibraltar was ceded from Spain to Britain. On January 31, 2020, the United Kingdom and Gibraltar left the European Union.

Ed Davis, 56, is the incumbent governor of Gibraltar. He assumed office on January 19, 2016.
