France’s Victor Pinto: Making ONE Championship debut in Thailand is a blessing

Victor “Leo” Pinto, 26, of France will make his ONE Super Series debut “ONE: A New Tomorrow.” He and his countryman Adam Noi will battle it out in a kickboxing in the bantamweight division.

Featuring six MMA matches, five Muay Thai contests and one kickboxing bout, the “ONE: A New Tomorrow” fight night will take place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on January 10, 2020. The fifth bout of the evening is the kickboxing contest between Pinto and Noi.

On January 6, 2020, ONE Championship held the official kick-off “ONE: A New Tomorrow” press conference at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok. During the event, Pinto said, “I am very excited to finally make my ONE Championship debut and in Thailand no less.”

“Thailand is like a second home to me and to be able to make my ONE debut here is a blessing,” Pinto continued. “I seize this opportunity to introduce myself to the world and to the ONE Championship fans. I promise this will be an exciting bout so be sure to tune in.”

 

During the “ONE: A New Tomorrow” press conference, ONE Championship announced its partnership with the Sports Authority of Thailand, which aims to further develop the sport of Muay Thai on a global scale. The collaboration will see both organizations work together to establish ONE Hero Series Muay Thai in Thailand, which seeks to discover grassroots Muay Thai talent in both the local and international level.

ONE Championship Thailand president “Plai” Jitinat Asdamongkol, Minister of Tourism and Sports secretary Khemmapol Auitayakul and Professional Sports Development and Boxing Department director Tanukiat Janchum attended the “ONE: A New Tomorrow” press conference. Also present during the event were Jonathan “The General” Haggerty, 22, of the United Kingdom and Thailand’s “The Iron Man” Rodtang Jitmuangnon, 22, Stamp Fairtex, 22, “The Million Dollar Baby” Sangmanee Sathian Muaythai Gym, 22, and Muangthai “Elbow Zombie” P.K.Saenchai Muaythaigym, 24.
