Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal, 35, of Miami, Florida, United States is interested in fighting former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges “Rush” St-Pierre, 38, of Montréal, Québec, Canada. The reigning BMF Champion was recently interviewed by “Submission Radio” hosts Kacper Rosolowski and Denis Shkuratov.
“Well, they’ve said this about me, that I resurrect fighters and then I retire them again so I wouldn’t mind if GSP jumped on that campaign,” Masvidal told Rosolowski and Shkuratov. “In all honesty, as a competitor, I want to f*****g break his face. I want to go out there and give him everything I got.”
On the other hand, Masvidal did not hesitate to praise St-Pierre. The Miami native who is of Cuban and Peruvian descent mentioned the amazing things the Canadian mixed martial arts veteran did in the UFC such as dethroning then UFC Middleweight Champion Michael “The Count” Bisping, 40, of Manchester, England on November 4, 2017 before going back to retirement.
“But I respect the time what he’s done,” Masvidal said of St-Pierre. “Then he took, I don’t know how many years off, came back, beat Bisping for the legitimate middleweight title. Dude’s a stud. He’s a f*****g animal, bro.”
“I would put everything into my being, into my soul to end this individual because he’s that good,” Masvidal continued. “He’s the type of fighter (that works the hardest). This s**t would require a nice training camp, isolation away from the world and just focus on the task.”
“Just day in and day out ’cause he’s a hell of a competitor and I’m not taking a back seat to nobody in this division so I would love it,” the reigning BMF Champion added. Here is his complete “Submission Radio” interview:
