San Juan, Puerto Rico’s Jomar Josué Pérez named Mister Tourism World 2019 first runner-up in Siġġiewi, Malta

Representing Puerto Rico, Jomar Josué Pérez Adorno, 24, almost won Mister Tourism World 2019. He was the runner-up of the fourth edition of the international male beauty pageant established in Bali, Indonesia on January 30, 2016 with a headquarter in Greenwich, London, England, United Kingdom.

Hailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Pérez is an actor and a model who stands 6’4″. He studied Biology in the Río Piedras Campus of the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Aside from acting, modelling and beauty pageants, Pérez is also into martial arts. As a national judo athlete, he has represented Puerto Rico in International Judo Federation competitions and was a national champion of the Liga Atlética Universitaria (University Athletic League).

Moreover, Pérez is the vice president and director of operations of We Care Project Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides several services including educational programs in less fortunate communities. Before joining Mister Tourism World 2019, he was Mister International Puerto Rico 2018 second runner-up and Mister Mundo Puerto Rico 2019 first runner-up.

 

Including Perez, 19 men from around the world competed in Mister Tourism World 2019. The coronation night took place at the Montekristo Estate in Siġġiewi, Malta on January 11, 2020.

It was Danial Hansen, 24, of Malaysia who won the Mister Tourism World 2019 title, succeeding Mister Tourism World 2018 Kyle Vosper, 25, of England. Rafael Columna, 23, of Dominican Republic, Jeremy Lensink, 28, of the Netherlands and Carlos Santana, 29, of Brazil were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up.

Kotaro Kasamatsu of Japan, Herald Conner of Venezuela and Abdullah Cheng of the Philippines finished in the Top 8. Samuel Lopez Arcos of Spain, Alberto Quijada of Mexico, Omar Orlando Dale of Jamaica, Chanatip Nathon of Thailand and Wayne Cassar of Malta finished in the Top 13.

Pérez exhibited his modelling skills during the Mister Tourism World 2019 competition. He won the Best Runway Model and Best Formal Wear special awards.
