Regina Peredo Gutierrez, 21, of Mexico was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2019. It was the 29th edition of the international beauty pageant based in Bolivia.
The Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 coronation night took place at the Sirionó Salon of Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia on February 8, 2020. Including Peredo, 30 candidates competed for the crown.
Peredo inherited the crown from Nariman Cristina Battikha Yanyi, 25, of Venezuela. The latter was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 on November 3, 2018.
Gabrielle Vilela de Souza, 27, of Brazil was crowned Virreina Hispanoamericana 2019. Laura Claro, 23, of Colombia was first runner-up while Yuanilie Alvarado, 23, of Puerto Rico was second runner-up and Ketlin Lotterman, 25, of Paraguay was third runner-up.
Valeria Badell, 22, of Venezuela was fourth runner-up and Katrina Llegado, 21, of Philippines was fifth runner-up. The respective sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth runners-up were Ainara Cardano, 25, of Spain, Franchesca Astier, 21, of Dominican Republic, Cassandra Cherry, 24, of Haiti and Monserrat Baez, 19, of the United States.
Peredo hails from Puebla, Mexico. He represented her hometown in Mexicana Universal 2019 and competed against 30 other candidates.
Broadcast on Azteca Uno, Azteca America and TV Azteca, the Mexicana Universal 2019 coronation night was held at the Foro de TV Azteca in Ciudad de México, México on June 23, 2019. Sofia Aragon, 25, of Jalisco, Mexico was crowned Mexicana Universal 2019 while Peredo was named Mexicana Hispanoamericana 2019.
In 2008, Laura Zúñiga of Mexico was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana but was dethroned and replaced by Vivian Noronha of Brazil. Both from Mexico, Vanessa Lopez and Magdalena Chipres were crowned Virreina Hispanoamericana in 2014 and in 2016, respectively.
This means Peredo is officially the first ever Reina Hispanoamericana from Mexico. Here is a clip from her coronation in Bolivia:
