Leonardo “Macarrão” Mafra Texeira, 30, of Balneário Camboriú, Catarina, Brazil has been added to the “BRAVE CF 35” card. He will face Carl “The Bomber” Booth, 29, of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England in the super lightweight division.

BRAVE CF will hold “BRAVE CF 35” in Balneário Camboriú. It marks Mafra’s return to his hometown after six years of not fighting in the city.

Mafra is riding high at BRAVE CF after getting his first win for the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion. He beat Djamil “Dynamite” Chan, 29, of Rotterdam, Netherlands via unanimous decision back at  “Brave 25” at the Arena Minas Tênis Clube in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil on August 30, 2019 and will look to follow it up with another victory in front of his home crowd.

Mafra was born in Santo André, São Paulo, Brazil on April 25, 1989 and he has been competing professionally since 2011. Before joining BRAVE CF, he competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Pancrase and Immortal Fighting Championship, among others.

Currently, Mafra holds a professional MMA record of 15 wins and 5 losses. On the other hand, Booth has 9 wins, 3 losses, 0 draw and 1 No Contest.

Booth will make his super lightweight debut at “BRAVE CF 35.” He is coming out of two consecutive BRAVE CF wins over Dino “The Lion” Bagattin, 38, of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa and Hayder “Hulk” Hassan, 37, of the United States.

On December 14, 2019, Booth defeated Hassan via unanimous decision at “BRAVE CF 32” at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in the welterweight division. The English contender has been knocking at the door of a title shot at the division but hopes to become a double threat with a dominant performance against Mafra at super lightweight.

“BRAVE CF 35” is the fifth BRAVE CF event to take place in Brazil, which makes the country one of the two countries with most BRAVE CF shows along with Bahrain since the organization’s inception in late 2016. In the main event of the evening, Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil will challenge BRAVE CF World Champion Cleiton “Predator” Silva, 33, of Belo Horizonte.
