Team Lakay representative Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of Benguet, Philippines continues to receive various honors for flying the flag of his country around the globe. The longest reigning BRAVE Combat Federation World Champion was awarded a special commendation by ACT-CIS representative Eric Go Yap inside the Session Hall of the House of Representatives of the Philippines in Constitution Hills, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on February 11, 2020.

Yap is one of the representatives of the Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) partylist. He was recently designated as the caretaker of Benguet following the death of the province’s representative Nestor Fongwan on December 18, 2019.

The ACT-CIS representative praised Loman for helping to raise the flag of the Philippines on the international stage and for being the only world champion from the country in BRAVE CF. The Team Lakay athlete was also complimented for his contributions to Benguet as well as the field of mixed martial arts.

Reigning as the BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion since November 17, 2017, Loman has transformed into one of BRAVE CF’s biggest stars having been with the Bahrain-based MMA promotion in almost four years.

The Team Lakay fighter made his debut in 2016 and is the only bantamweight world champion in the history of BRAVE CF and has been recognized as one of the Philippines’ finest athletes. He has represented his country in three different regions with the promotion, defending his belt in Europe and in the Middle East.

On November 17, 2017, Loman became the inaugural BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion by defeating Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat, 32, at “BRAVE 9: The Kingdom of Champions” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain. On June 9, 2018, the Team Lakay representative retained his title by defeating Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 28, of Ireland in a rematch at “Brave 13: European Evolution” in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

On November 16, 2018, Felipe Efrain, 24, of Brazil failed to dethrone Loman at “BRAVE CF 18” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena. On March 15, 2019, the Filipino champion retained his belt by knocking out former Brave CF Featherweight Champion Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame, 25, of France at “BRAVE 22: Storm of Warriors” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

On November 30, 2019, Loman successfully defended his belt from Louie “Leonidas” Sanoudakis, 30, of Canada at “BRAVE CF 30″ at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
