Timothy Johnson, 34, of Fargo, North Dakota, United States was one of the winners at “Bellator 239.” It was the first Bellator MMA victory of the former Ultimate Fighting Championship athlete.

Michael Bell served as the referee. He put a stop to the heavyweight contest after 2 minutes and 35 seconds in the first round when Johnson knocked out Fortune via punch, marking the first loss of the latter.
Winning at “Bellator 239” improved the professional MMA record of Johnson to 13 wins and 6 losses. On the other hand, Fortune now has 8 wins and 1 loss.
“Bellator 239” marked Fortune’s ninth bout in Bellator MMA. It was the third fight of Johnson in the promotion.
Born in Lamberton, Minnesota, USA on March 13, 1985, Johnson was a wrestler at Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, Minnesota. As an MMA fighter, made his professional debut in 2010.
From early 2015 to early 2018, Johnson competed in the UFC. He joined Bellator MMA in late 2018.
Training out of Academy of Combat Arts in Fargo, Johnson lost his first two Bellator MMA bouts both via knockout via punches in the first round. On October 13, 2018, he was knocked out by Cheick Kongo, 44, of Paris, France at “Bellator 208” at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum at NYCB Love in Uniondale, New York, USA.
