Tahar “Fast Hands” Hadbi, 32, is one of the mixed martial artists from France who have graced the BRAVE Combat Federation stage. Like all MMA fighters in the world, he is greatly affected by the ongoing new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The COVID-19 case in France was reported on January 24, 2020. The country allowed the first easing of its lockdown imposed to fight the deadly virus on May 11, 2020.

Born in Algeria on August 18, 1987, Hadbi is currently based in Paris, France. He made his professional MMA debut in 2009.

In 2017, Hadbi made his BRAVE CF debut and had two fights in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion and both fights ended in a No Contest. Since having one win and one loss in the promotion in 2018, he has yet to compete again.

Currently, Hadbi holds a professional MMA record of 14 wins, 7 losses, 0 draw and 2 No Contests. Here is a recent interview I had with the Algerian-French MMA fighter managed by MTK Global:

CONAN ALTATIS: Where are you spending the quarantine period and who are you spending it with?

TAHAR HADBI: I live in Paris, France and as the majority of the world, I’m in quarantine because of coronavirus. I spend time at home with family, playing with my children and killing the time as I can. I cook a lot. I like it.

CA: How did the COVID-19 pandemic affect your career?

TH: I’m 32 so I can’t waste time. I want to return to competition ASAP and COVID blocks us. I hope BRAVE will organize events before the end of the year.

CA: How do you assess how your country is handling the pandemic?

TH: This virus is new so (it is) unknown to everyone. I think (the) French government is trying to do its best but it’s complicated. We don’t want a second wave. We must remain attentive and above all protect ourselves to protect others.
