“UFC on ESPN 9” marked Hill’s second outing in the UFC debut. When he made his promotional debut at “UFC on ESPN+ 24” at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA on January 25, 2020, he won via unanimous decision against Darko Stošić, 28, of Belgrade, Serbia.

Featuring 11 professional MMA matches, “UFC on ESPN 9” took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on May 30, 2020. In the fourth bout of the evening, Hill fought Klidson “Russian Terror” Farias de Abreu, 33, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil in the light heavyweight division.
Herb Dean served as the referee. He put a stop to the light heavyweight contest when Hill knocked out Abreu via knee to the body to ground and pound at 1 minute and 51 seconds in the first round.
“A lot of people like to play with my name you know but hey, keep on sleepin’ on me,” Hill said in his post-fight interview. “I’mma let the doctor wake you up.”
Winning at “UFC on ESPN 9” improved Hill’s professional MMA records to 8 wins and 0 loss. On the other hand, Abreu now has 15 wins and 5 losses.

In the main event, Gilbert “Durinho” Burns, 33, of Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil defeated Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley, 38, of St. Louis, Missouri in the welterweight division via unanimous decision.
