Ariane “Queen of Violence” Lipski, 26, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil earned her second victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Polish-Brazilian mixed martial artist was one of the “UFC Fight Night 172” winners.

Also called “UFC on ESPN+ 30,” “UFC Fight Night 172” featured 12 MMA matches on the UFC Fight Island on Yas Island on July 19, 2020 in the UAE or July 18, 2020 in the United States. Lipski fought Luana “Dread” Carolina, 27, of Sao Paulo, Brazil in the women’s flyweight division in the ninth bout, which was refereed by Daniel Movahedi.

Movahedi put a stop to the middleweight contest after 1 minute and 28 seconds in the first round. Lipski submitted Carolina via kneebar, which marked the second leg lock submission by a female athlete in a UFC bout.

This is the first time Lipski submitted an opponent in a professional MMA bout via kneebar. Winning at “UFC Fight Night 172” improved the Polish-Brazil MMA fighter’s professional MMA record to 13 wins and 5 losses.

Fighting professionally since 2013, Lipski joined the UFC in 2019. The first opponent she defeated in the promotion was Isabela de Padua.

Like Lipski, Carolina made her UFC debut in 2019. The Sao Paulo native now has 6 wins and 2 losses.
