Yann Itami Liasse, 30, of Luxembourg will make his BRAVE Combat Federation debut at “BRAVE CF 44.” He will be the first Luxembourger to compete in the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion.
Featuring six professional MMA bouts and one amateur MMA bout, “BRAVE CF 44” will take place at the Bahrain National Stadium in East Riffa, Bahrain on November 5, 2020. In the second bout of the evening, Liasse will fight Abbas Khan, 28, of Pakistan in the lightweight division.
Like Liasse, Khan is also making his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 44.” It will also be the Pakistani MMA fighter’s first professional MMA bout.
Khan is training out of KHK MMA in Bahrain. He has an amateur MMA record of 12 wins, 7 losses, 0 draw and 1 No Contest.
Liasse and Khan were standouts are amateur MMA fighters. They both had several wins the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).
When Liasse was an amateur MMA fighter, he submitted Bogdan Semyonov of Belgium at “Staredown 10,” Piotr Skupniewicz of the Netherlands at “World Fighting League MMA” and Danilo Cardelli of Italy at “Red Lions Fighting Championship Luxembourg 1.” The Luxembourger also knocked out Adam van der Brink of the Netherlands at “Atlas MMA 1: The Beginning,” Radzhad Ataev of Bahrain at the 2017 IMMAF World Championships and Rusi Minev of Bulgaria at the 2018 IMMAF European Championships.
Training out of Bulgarian Top Team in Sofia, Bulgaria, Liasse has been competing professionally as an MMA fighter since 2019. He is 5’11” while Khan is 5’10”.
Currently, Liasse holds a professional MMA record of 3 wins and 0 loss. With his dangerous grappling skills, he submitted all of his first three professional MMA opponents.
On May 17, 2019, Liasse made his professional MMA debut at “City Cage MMA 1” at the Grand Casino Luzern in Lucerne, Switzerland. He submitted Nathan Issad of Switzerland via rear-naked choke in the first round.
On September 7, 2019, Liasse fought Lazar “Lion King” Kukuličić, 24, of Montenegro at “Montenegro Fighting Championship 9” at the Sports Hall Igalo in Igalo, Montenegro. The Luxembourger submitted his Montenegrin opponent.
Liasse’s most recent bout was at “GMC Fight Night: Grabinski vs Stoimenov” in Duisburg, Germany. He submitted Asilder Badouiev of Germany via rear-naked choke.
