Sydney Taylor, 19, of Louisiana, United States almost won Miss Teen USA 2020. She was the fourth runner-up of the 38th edition of the beauty pageant for American girls aged 14 to 19.

Hailing from Livingston, Louisiana, Taylor is is a freshman at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She majors in civil engineering.

Taylor loves basketball and softball. She has two younger sisters namely Gracie Taylor, 16, and Shelby Taylor, 12.

Hosted by Miss Teen USA 2005 Allie LaForce, 31, and Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst, 29, of the Miss Teen USA 2020 coronation night took place at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, USA amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It was livestreamed on the Miss Universe Organization’s social media channels and on PlayStation 4 consoles as a live event on the U.S. PlayStation Store.

It was Kiʻilani Arruda, 18, of Hawaii who won the Miss Teen USA 2020 title and Shayla Montgomery, 18, of Oregon was her runner-up. Shayla Jackson, 18, of Oregon and Audrey Eckert, 18, of Nebraska were the second and fourth runners-up, respectively, while the Miss Congeniality award was given to Marianne Bautista, 17, of Washington.

Miss Teen USA 2011 Danielle Doty Fitzgerald, 27, of Texas, Miss America 2019 Nia Franklin, 27, of New York and Miss Teen USA 2014 K. Lee Graham, 23, of South Carolina served as judges. They were joined by social media personality and TikToker Sara Echeagaray, 19, and  scientist, entrepreneur and medical missionary Iman Oubou, 23.
