Mariah Jane Davis, 24, of Norman, Oklahoma, United States almost won Miss USA 2020. She was the second runner-up of the 69th edition of the national pageant that chooses the country’s representative to Miss Universe.

It was Asya Branch, 22, of Booneville, Mississippi, USA who won the Miss USA 2020 crown while Kim Layne, 26, of Nampa, Idaho, USA was her runner-up. Alexis Lete, 24, of New Albany, Indiana, USA and Kelly Hutchinson, 23, of Auburn, Alabama, USA were the respective third and fourth runners-up.

Davis is a member of the Choctaw Nation. She is the youngest among the four daughters of Donnie Davis and Sheila Hoppis-Brown.

Mariah earned her bachelor’s degree in film and media studies from the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Before earning the Miss Oklahoma USA 2020 title, she was Miss Oklahoma Teen USA 2013 second runner-up and Miss Oklahoma Teen USA 2014 second runner-up.

Moreover, Mariah was runner-up to Miss Oklahoma USA 2019 Triana Browne. The latter was second runner-up to Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst.

Miss USA 2020

Broadcast on FYI, the Miss USA 2020 coronation ceremony took place at the Exhibition Centre and the Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. It featured a performance by “American Idol” Season 10 second runner-up Haley Reinhart, 30.

American Ninja Warrior” commentator Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, 41, and Miss Teen USA 2005 Allie LaForce, 31, hosted the show. Branch inherited the crown from Kryst, who serve as a backstage commentator along with Christian Murphy.

Miss USA 1999 Kimberly Pressler, 43, of New York and Miss USA 2000 Lynnette Cole, 42, of Tennessee served as judges. They were joined by businesswoman and hairstylist Carolyn Aronson, 53, Fox Nation journalist and media personality Abby Hornacek, 26, motivational speaker, author and entrepreneur Gloria Mayfield Banks, 64, and businesswoman and social media personality Susan Yara, 39.
